Copyright Concerns
How to tell Locusolve about content on this website that you believe infringes your copyright.
Locusolve respects the work of writers, photographers, designers and other creators, and we expect the same respect for our own work. If you believe something on this website uses your work without permission, please tell us and we will look into it.
What this page covers
This page is about material published on locusolve.com. Websites we have built for clients belong to those clients and are run by them. If your concern is about material on a client’s website, please contact that website’s owner. If you are not sure who that is, write to us and we will point you in the right direction where we can.
How to tell us
Use the Email us link with “Copyright concern” in the subject line, or write to us through the contact page. So we can assess your concern, please include:
- your name and how to contact you (email address, and phone number or mailing address);
- a description of the work you believe has been copied, such as a photo, text or design, with a link to the original if it is online;
- the address (URL) of each page on our website where the material appears, and where on the page it is;
- whether you own the copyright or are authorised to act for the owner; and
- a statement that the information in your notice is accurate to the best of your knowledge.
A screenshot is often the quickest way to show us exactly what you mean.
What happens next
We read every notice. We will confirm we have received it, review the material and, if we need more information, ask you for it. Where it is clear that material on our website infringes your rights, we will remove or replace it. If the material came from a stock library, a client or another supplier, we may also check our licence with them, and we may share your notice with them so the matter can be resolved.
If we believe the material is properly licensed or its use is permitted by law, we will explain why. Nothing on this page limits your rights or ours under the Copyright Act (Canada).
If your material was removed
If we removed material you provided to us, such as a testimonial, photo or logo, because of a copyright concern and you believe that was a mistake, contact us with the details and any licence or permission you hold. We will review it and may restore the material.
Please notify in good faith
Only send a notice about work you own or are authorised to act for, and only if you genuinely believe the use is not permitted. Notices sent to harass someone or to remove material that is properly licensed waste everyone’s time and may expose the sender to legal liability.
Our own content
Unless stated otherwise, the text, design, graphics and code of this website are owned by Locusolve. Client names, logos, screenshots and reviews belong to their respective owners and are shown to describe our work. To ask about using any of our content, please contact us.
