Build your signature
Step 1 of 4
Choose a style
Ten designs, shown with example details. Pick one to continue; you can change it at any time.
Step 2 of 4
Your details
Only your name is required. Anything you leave blank won’t appear.
More details (department, tagline, second phone, address, service area)
One short line, for example what you do.
Step 3 of 4
Make it yours
Everything here is optional: a logo or photo, social links, a booking button and your colour.
Logo or photo
We don’t store images. Paste the web address of an image that is already on your website, so email programs can load it.
How do I get my logo’s image address?
If your website uses WordPress:
- Open your WordPress dashboard.
- Choose Media.
- Upload your logo, or click the one already there.
- In the attachment details, find File URL and click Copy URL to clipboard.
- Paste it into the logo box here.
- Check the logo in the preview at step 4.
Other website builders: ask your website provider for a permanent, public https:// link to your logo image (a PNG or JPG file).
The image has to stay at that address. If it is moved or deleted, it disappears from every email you have already sent.
A PNG or JPG about twice the size it appears (for example 240 pixels wide for a 120-pixel logo) looks sharp on high-resolution screens. Google Drive, Dropbox and OneDrive sharing links usually don’t work, because they open a page rather than the image.
Social media links
Pick up to five. Four or fewer looks cleanest. Each icon links to the page you paste.
Booking button
Short is best, up to 28 characters.
A secure https:// address, such as your booking page or contact form.
Colour
Step 4 of 4
Preview and copy
Check your signature, copy it, then follow the steps for your email program.
Example details. Type yours to replace them.
A rough check only: Gmail, Outlook and Apple Mail each change colours in their own way in dark mode.

How it works
Four steps, no code.
Everything happens in your browser. What you type isn’t sent to us or stored.
-
Step 1
Choose a design
Pick one of ten layouts. Switch whenever you like; your details stay as they are.
-
Step 2
Add your details
Only your name is required. Add the phone, email and website people actually use to reach you.
-
Step 3
Customize
Add a logo or photo, social icons, a booking button and your brand colour, or leave them out for a clean text signature.
-
Step 4
Copy and install
Click Copy My Signature and paste it into Gmail, Outlook or Apple Mail. Then send yourself a test email.
What makes a good signature
Professional, not busy.
A signature appears on every email you send, so it should help people reach you, not compete with your message.
-
Name, role and company first
People should see who you are and who you work for at a glance.
-
One or two ways to reach you
A phone number and website are usually enough. The email address is already in the message.
-
Text that stays text
Your name and number should be real text, not part of an image, so they can be copied, tapped and read when images are blocked.
-
A few icons at most
Link the social profiles customers actually use. Four or fewer looks cleanest.
-
One clear action
If bookings or quotes matter, one small button does more than a row of links.
-
Readable on a phone
Most email is read on phones. Keep it narrow and avoid long lines of text.
Adding a logo
Your logo needs a public address.
Email signatures don’t carry images inside them. They link to an image stored on a website, and each email program loads it from there. That is why the builder asks for an image address instead of a file, and why we don’t store your images.
-
Use your own website
The most reliable place is your own website. In WordPress, open Media, select the logo and copy its File URL.
-
A direct image address
The address should open the image itself and usually ends in .png or .jpg. Sharing links from Google Drive, Dropbox or OneDrive open a page instead, so they don’t work.
-
Permanent and public
If the image is moved, renamed or made private, it disappears from your signature, including in emails you have already sent.
-
The right size
Upload a PNG or JPG about twice the size it appears, for example 240 pixels wide for a 120-pixel logo, so it looks sharp on high-resolution screens. Avoid SVG; many email programs don’t show it.
Troubleshooting
My logo or social icons aren’t appearing.
-
The image isn’t public
Open the image address in a private browser window. If it asks you to sign in or shows a page instead of the picture, email programs can’t load it either.
-
It’s a sharing link
Links to Google Drive, Dropbox or OneDrive pages aren’t images. Upload the logo to your website and use that address.
-
The image host blocks it
Some hosts refuse requests from other websites or email programs. Your own website is the safest place.
-
The link expired
Temporary links with long codes at the end stop working after a while. Use a permanent address.
-
The email program blocks images
Many programs hide images until the reader allows them. Your name, number and links are text, so they still show.
-
Pasting removed it
If a logo vanishes when you paste, add it in Gmail with the image button in the signature editor instead. This can change the spacing slightly, so check the result.
Best practice
Small details that look professional.
-
Send yourself a test
After saving, send an email to a different account and open it on a computer and a phone.
-
Same signature for the whole team
Use the same design and colour for everyone. Only the personal details change.
-
Check replies too
Choose whether the signature appears on replies and forwards. A shorter version suits long threads.
-
Keep it current
Update it when your phone number, role or booking page changes. An old number costs enquiries.

Yes. There is no account, no sign-up and no watermark. The finished signature contains only your details.
The signature is built the way email programs expect: simple tables, standard fonts and inline styles. It is designed for Gmail, Outlook and Apple Mail, but each program changes signatures a little, so send yourself a test email after setting it up.
No. The signature is built in your browser and what you type isn’t sent to Locusolve. A draft is kept in this browser tab until you close it, so a refresh doesn’t lose your work.
Email signatures link to images rather than containing them. The image has to be on a public website so each email program can load it. We don’t host images.
Some versions of Outlook ignore rounded corners and certain spacing, so a round photo may appear square and buttons may have square corners. The layout and links still work.
Yes. Copy HTML Code gives you the signature’s code for tools or email programs that accept it. Most people should use Copy My Signature instead.
